Groups that meet at VCS now have attendance limitations as advised by the County to maintain the safety and well-being of our clients and staff.

​Support Group for Caregivers of Older Adults

If you are concerned about an aging parent, spouse or other relative, VCS provides three weekly support groups. In these groups you will receive information, resources and alternatives for meeting the challenges associated with aging parents and relatives. These one hour groups are held on Monday mornings at 10am, Wednesday mornings at 10:50am at VCS in New City. An additional group on Monday evenings at 4pm is available via Zoom. All are welcome. Support and Discussion Group for Relatives Raising Children (RAPP)

This group has not yet resumed in-person meetings. Groups are happening remotely. Please check back for updates.

The Relatives as Parents Program is an open support group for grandparents raising their grandchildren or any other person raising the child of a relative. The group is a place to share the challenges and experiences with your peers. The group is free to attend and runs on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month from 12:00-1:00pm via Zoom. For more information contact the staff member listed below.

Contributions are voluntary and confidential and are used to expand the services for which they are received.  No one will be denied services because of an inability or unwillingness to contribute.  Suggested contributions level equal to the cost of the service for participants who self-disclose income at or above 185% of Federal Poverty Level. Services are funded in part by the Administration for Community Living, New York State Office for the Aging and the Rockland County Office for the Aging.
