​VCS Volunteer Counselor Training

The VCS Volunteer Counselor Training is for people who are interested in becoming a volunteer VCS counselor. You need not have prior experience or qualification in counseling; just an interest in counseling, an ability to listen to people, and some life experience. VCS counselors offer much needed support to financially-struggling residents of Rockland County who are dealing with life problems such as divorce, parent/child issues, illness, depression, aging, relationships, and domestic violence. Volunteers should have four to five hours per week available. There is a non-refundable fee for the training.
