Wellness Coaching FAQs

Wellness Coaching Trainings are offered three times per week:

• Mondays from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Tuesdays from 7:00-9:00 PM
• Thursdays from 12:30-2:30 PM

All trainings are held in Jon's Room at VCS (located at 77 South Main Street, New City NY 10956).

VCS Wellness Coaching training is a 12 session program. Each session is 2 hours long, except for the final session, which is 3 hours long.

The VCS Wellness Coaching Model was developed by VCS staff specifically to train individuals who will be volunteering as coaches through VCS. In addition to the volunteers, supervisors are also required to take the training.

Coaching is led by Kristine Lopez-Morell, the Division Director of Community Services at VCS, who created the training curriculum. Other VCS staff including Darla Salmon, Maritza Gomez, Marie Wood-Smith, and Logan Meda assist with the training sessions.
